## What is WiFi?
WiFi is an invisible signal that travels through the air in your home, sent by a device called a **router** (usually a small box with blinking lights). Your phone, tablet, and computer connect to this signal to access the internet — without any wires.
### Connecting Your Phone to WiFi
**On iPhone:**
1. Open **Settings** (the gray gear icon)
2. Tap **WiFi**
3. Make sure the switch at the top is turned ON (green)
4. You will see a list of available networks
5. Tap your home network's name
6. Type your WiFi password
7. Tap **Join**
**On Android:**
1. Open **Settings**
2. Tap **Network & Internet** or **Connections**
3. Tap **WiFi**
4. Turn it ON
5. Tap your network name
6. Enter your password and tap **Connect**
### How Do I Know My WiFi Password?
Your WiFi password is usually on a sticker on the back or bottom of your router. It may be labeled "Network Key," "WPA Key," or "Password."
### When WiFi is Not Working
Try these steps in order:
1. Turn your phone's WiFi off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on
2. Move closer to the router
3. Unplug the router, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in
4. Restart your phone
If none of these work, call your internet provider.
