## Seeing Your Loved Ones on Screen

FaceTime is Apple's video calling app. If you have an iPhone or iPad, FaceTime is already installed — you do not need to download anything.

### Before You Start

Make sure:
- Your phone is connected to WiFi or has a good cell signal
- Your battery is charged (at least 20%)
- You are in a well-lit room (light in front of you, not behind you)

### How to Make a FaceTime Call

1. Open the **FaceTime** app (green icon with a white video camera)
2. Tap the **+** button in the top right corner
3. Type the name or phone number of the person you want to call
4. Tap their name when it appears
5. Tap **Video** to start a video call

### During the Call

- **Your face** appears in a small box in the corner — that is what they see
- **Their face** fills most of the screen
- Tap the screen to see the controls
- Tap the **red phone button** to end the call
- Tap the **microphone icon** to mute yourself
- Tap the **camera icon** to switch between front and back camera

### Tips for a Good Call

- Prop your phone against something so you do not have to hold it
- Look at the camera (the small dot at the top), not at their face on screen
- Speak normally — you do not need to shout
